Susan G. Komen Amplifies Its Digital Community to Support Research, Community Programs, and Advocacy Efforts

OCTOBER 11, 2017, DALLAS, TEXAS -- Susan G. Komen®, the world’s largest breast cancer organization, is joining  forces with messaging mobile app, Kwippit to launch  an exciting and dynamic new partnership.

To kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kwippit has launched a Susan G. Komen channel on the mobile app to benefit Komen. With this new tool, Komen plans to engage a new generation of supporters to join them in the fight against breast cancer. Passionate audiences can “Kwipp for the Cure” by finding and sharing unique content, as well as connecting with other users in the Susan G. Komen community.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S. In fact, one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Susan G. Komen has funded more than $956 million to breast cancer research, making them the largest non-profit funder of breast cancer research in the world, outside of the U.S. government. They have also funded more than $2.1 billion in community programs in 60 countries and thousands of communities in the U.S.

In late October, Susan G. Komen and Kwippit will take their partnership to the next level by unlocking a subscription version of the channel. For a small annual fee, users will have the opportunity to support Komen’s mission to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Through June 30, 2018, Kwippit will donate 100% of the net proceeds from this channel to Susan G. Komen.
